About Our School

Cedarcrest-Southmoor is a caring, united community of lifelong learners. Our students, teachers, parents and adopters work together to enable each child to shine in his or her own way.   We truly believe the old African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child."

Parent Reviews

“Both of my children have attended Cedarcrest-Southmoor from K-5. I have been extremely pleased with the education that my children have obtained at this school. The teachers at the school showed genuine concern about my children. I am impressed constantly by how well-behaved the students are at this school. I believe it is due the great leadership, the high academic standards and the clear discipline policies.”

“My daughter is in the 3rd grade. She has been in this school since kindergarten and it is the greatest public school in this parish. There are no gimmicks the teachers genuinely care about the students and there achievements test scores are a plus, but the child is always first. I would recommend this school to anyone.”
