Martha Hochberg is a Reading Coach at Cedarcrest-Southmoor. This is her fourth year at Cedarcrest, but this is her thirty-second year of teaching. Nearly twenty of those years were spent in the classroom, teaching grades k-3 classes, and grades 4-6 special education classes. She has also worked as a Title 1 Reading Teacher, a Reading Recovery Teacher, and as a Special Education Resource Teacher. She is certified in Nursery, Kindergarten, Elementary Grades, Special Education, and as a Reading Specialist. This is her fifteenth year in East Baton Rouge Parish.
She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Brooklyn College of City University of New York and a Master's Degree from New York University. She has completed additional coursework at Miami University of Ohio and at the University of Southeastern Louisiana.
